Radarbot offers different types of alerts designed to help safe driving by avoiding possible penalties. These alerts anticipate situations on the road. From this menu you can configure the different types of alerts and warnings so they adapt to your driving style and preferences.

Description of alerts and warnings

Fixed Points

Fixed Speed Camera

  • Description: Speed control permanently installed at specific locations. Common in areas with a high accident rate or where speed limits are frequently exceeded.

  • How Radarbot helps: Early alert to adjust speed.

Tunnel Speed Camera

  • Description: Speed cameras specifically installed in tunnels, where visibility and driving conditions can be challenging.

  • How Radarbot helps: Notifies you when entering the tunnel, allowing you to maintain the appropriate speed inside.

Frequent Mobile Speed Camera Zone

  • Description: Areas known for frequent temporary installation of mobile speed cameras.

  • How Radarbot helps: Alerts you when approaching these areas so you can reduce speed and drive cautiously.

Traffic Light Camera

  • Description: Cameras at traffic lights to detect and fine vehicles that run red lights.

  • How Radarbot helps: Informs about the presence of these cameras to prevent fines for traffic light violations.

Accident-Prone Area

  • Description: Road segments with a high frequency of accidents, often due to adverse road conditions or heavy traffic.

  • How Radarbot helps: Increases driver awareness of high-risk areas to reduce the likelihood of accidents.

Average Speed Camera

  • Description: Measures the average speed of a vehicle over a defined section of road.

  • How Radarbot helps: Monitors and displays your average speed in the section to ensure you stay within the allowed limit.

Seatbelt or Mobile Camera

  • Description: Monitors proper seatbelt use and improper mobile phone use while driving.

  • How Radarbot helps: Provides compliance reminders to encourage safe and legal driving practices.

Mobile Points

Mobile Speed Camera

  • Description: Cameras that are not fixed and can be placed in different locations depending on traffic monitoring needs.

  • How Radarbot helps: Alerts about possible mobile camera locations based on recent reports and historical patterns.

Police control

  • Description: Presence of police patrols that may carry out speed or documentation checks.

  • How Radarbot helps: Warns about police presence to reduce speed or prepare for inspections.

Traffic Jam

  • Description: Areas with dense or stopped traffic, possibly due to accidents or heavy traffic conditions.

  • How Radarbot helps: Provides real-time traffic information so you can take alternative routes.

Hazard

  • Description: Dangerous road conditions such as objects on the road, adverse weather, or recent accidents.

  • How Radarbot helps: Alerts you about imminent dangers so you can take additional precautions.

Accident

  • Description: Recent accident locations that may still be affecting traffic.

  • How Radarbot helps: Informs about accidents to avoid delays or increase caution when passing through the affected area.

Helicopter and drone

  • Description: Aerial surveillance used to monitor and regulate traffic from the air.

  • How Radarbot helps: Notifies about aerial surveillance operations in the area so drivers remain alert and comply with traffic rules.

Speed Camera Warnings and Alerts

To customize notifications for different types of speed cameras and alerts, follow these steps:

  1. Open the side menu (≡)

  2. Go to [Settings]

  3. Tap [Alerts and Warnings]

  4. Tap [Speed Camera Warnings and Alerts]

Within this category, you can configure:

  • Hide on map: Decide whether you want the speed camera or alert to be displayed on the map.

  • Voice notification: Enable or disable voice warnings for each speed camera or alert.

  • Audible alert: Choose whether you want to receive audible alerts.

  • Visual alert: Enable or disable visual alerts.

  • Vibration warning: Allow your device to vibrate when you receive an alert.

  • Speed margin: Set whether you want the alert to sound always or only when you exceed the speed limit.

Types of radars and alerts available include:

  • Real-time alerts

  • Fixed radars

  • Temporary fixed radar

  • Possible mobile radar

  • Tunnel radars

  • Section radars

  • Traffic light radars

  • Seat belt or cell phone use cameras

  • Access control cameras

  • Traffic violation cameras

  • Accident black spots

  • Road works

  • Potholes

  • Speed bumps

  • Weighing control for trucks

School zone warning

Enables or disables school zone alerts for both arrival and departure times. A school zone is defined as a geographical area of influence for admission to educational centers (public and charter schools), organized by local/regional administrations to guarantee places.

Other Alerts

Radarbot Co-pilot

  • Description: Activates safety tips and reminders when you start the app.

GPS Loss Alert

Allows you to set the speed difference at which Radarbot will warn you when you exceed the speed limit. The options are no margin up to 160 km/h in 10 km/h intervals.

Road Limit

Enables or disables the audible warning when the maximum speed on the road is exceeded.

Margin Above Road Speed Limit

Sets the difference at which the road limit warning will be issued.

Warning distances

Allows you to choose the warning margin for speed cameras and alerts.

In percentages of -20%, ‘no margin’, +20%, +40%, +60%.

The greater the margin, the earlier the warning will be given.
