On Android systems it is necessary to enable the following permissions for Radarbot to work properly:
Display over other apps
Auto start
Background location
Disable battery optimization
If you have problems operating in the background, try the following options.
You can access the options from your Android system app settings or from the Radarbot menu:
Side menu ≡ --> [Settings] --> [General] --> [Background permissions]
Note: Several system messages may appear to confirm the action.
Once the 4 permissions are enabled (4/4), the blue "Next" button will be enabled.
Battery optimization
Check that the battery saving settings are not limiting the operation of the application.
If you experience any of the following problems:
Location does not update correctly.
You do not receive speed camera alerts when the application is in the background.
Radarbot does not work correctly with Android Auto or when starting automatically via Bluetooth.
Follow these steps:
Disable any battery saving option on your device.
You can find this option in the top quick settings menu or in the system settings.
If your device is Xiaomi
If you are using a Xiaomi device, follow these steps to ensure proper operation of Radarbot:
Battery and performance
Manage battery usage > Apps > Radarbot > No restrictions
Security
Permissions > Auto start > Radarbot: Enabled
Task manager
Mark the application to prevent Radarbot from being closed by background cleaning tasks.
